Connect WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, and Viber

Add the chat channels your clients use: WhatsApp and Viber for confirmations, reminders and messages, and Instagram and Messenger for conversations in your Inbox.

  1. 01

    See what each channel does

Open Integrations › Messaging. Every channel here runs on your own account with that service:

    • WhatsApp sends confirmations, reminders and your messages. Meta charges your business for them; it is not free.
    • Instagram & Messenger brings direct messages into your Inbox, and your replies go back the same way.
    • Viber sends from a branded sender you arrange through TurboSMS.
    • Telegram connects your own bot, described in its own article.
  2. 02

    Connect WhatsApp

You need a verified Meta Business account and a WhatsApp Business number. Press “Connect” on WhatsApp and enter the “Phone number ID” and a “Permanent access token” — a system-user token from Meta, not the 24-hour one. Test, then connect.

  3. 03

    Connect Instagram and Messenger

You need a verified Meta Business account and Meta’s approval for page messaging, which takes time on Meta’s side. Press “Connect” and enter the “Page or account ID”, the “Page access token”, a “Webhook verify token” you make up, and the “App secret”.

Then copy the “Callback URL for Meta” from the row and paste it into your Meta app’s webhook settings, with the same verify token.

  4. 04

    Connect Viber

A branded Viber sender is approved by the operator and has a monthly minimum, so arrange it with TurboSMS first. Then enter the “Branded sender name” and your “TurboSMS API key”.

  5. 05

Know which channel a message takes

For each client, Setvos picks the cheapest channel that reaches them: Telegram when the client has linked it, then WhatsApp if you connected it, then Viber if you connected it, then a text. Campaigns and automations reach Telegram only through your own bot. If a WhatsApp message fails, the client gets a text instead.

Common questions

Is WhatsApp free?

No. Meta bills your business for WhatsApp messages under its own pricing. They do not use your Setvos SMS allowance.

Why do Instagram messages not arrive?

Check that the callback URL and the same verify token are saved in your Meta app’s webhook settings, that Meta has approved messaging for your page, and that the app secret you entered is your app’s current one: deliveries that do not match it are refused.
