Ten places at the wheel, none of them empty.

A ceramics evening, a candle class, a cooking night: ten places, materials bought for ten, and two people who forget to come. Half the bookings arrive as gift certificates in December.

Six things that only matter in a workshop studio

Open classes with places

Each class with its capacity, places left shown live on the booking page, and a waitlist offered the freed place in one tap.

A whole session for one group

A birthday, a hen party or a team evening books the whole class at its own price, with add-ons such as a kiln firing, and the session closes to everyone else.

Gift certificates on your page

Sold on your own booking page and paid online, the code emailed to the buyer and redeemed at checkout.

Kits and finished pieces

Products on stock added to a booking’s bill at checkout, and the shelf count kept.

Past guests, next season

A campaign to everyone who came to a class in the last season, with a stop link in every message.

Reminders that bring people in

A reminder before every class and session on Telegram first, then SMS.

Hosts paid per head

A host’s pay set per guest in each class they ran, beside hourly pay and commission.

Packages

A party package that books as its parts — the host, the room and the extras — each in its own diary.

  1. 01

    Put in the classes

Each class with its capacity, host and price, and the month’s dates published.

  2. 02

    Price a private session

Give the class a price for the whole session and the add-ons it offers, such as a kiln firing; a group then books it on a day nobody has a place yet.

  3. 03

    Connect your payment gateway

With your own gateway connected, gift certificates sell on your booking page: four set amounts, or one the buyer types.

  4. 04

    Share the link

In your bio and on your posters, so classes fill and certificates sell without a message.

A 3-person studio pays €31/mo

3 employees on Standard, 12-month term: €42/mo list, €428 on day 7, and 14 months of service (12 paid + 2 bonus) — €31 effective per month. Prices exclude tax. VAT or sales tax is added at checkout where it is due; an EU business with a valid VAT number pays no VAT and accounts for it under the reverse charge.

Workshops: questions

Do guests pay for an open class when they book?

If you take a deposit or the full price, yes: each place is paid on your own gateway when it is booked, and refunded if the guest cancels in time. Otherwise it is paid at the till.

Can a guest bring a friend on one booking?

Yes: one booking takes a place for each person, an adult’s and a child’s at their own prices, under one link; a group that wants the table to itself books the whole session.

How do I know the certificates sold this month?

Each certificate is listed with its buyer, amount, balance and status, and the payments are in the month’s takings.

Events & leisure questions

Can a guest pay for a place in an open class online?

Yes, when the studio takes a deposit or the full price: each place is paid when it is booked, on the studio’s own payment gateway, and the places of one booking are paid together.

Can a gift certificate pay for a place in an open class?

Yes: the place is checked out at the till like any visit, and the certificate pays for it there.

Is a contract signed in the app?

No: an event is agreed by quote and prepayment, and a signed contract can be kept as a file on the client’s card.

A birthday booked as one private session

A ceramics class sells places one by one; a birthday wants the whole table. Here is how a class is booked whole at its own price, how the cake and the kiln firing go on the bill, and how a family’s places are paid in one go.

The certificate season

From late November to mid-February, a workshop studio sells more gift certificates than seats. Here is how to sell them online without a single message, and what happens when they come back in March.

Every seat filled before the evening

A workshop with ten places loses most of its margin on the two that stay empty. Here is how a ceramics, candle or cooking studio keeps the room full — and what to do about the people who forget to come.

Guide

Keep a waitlist and offer freed slots

Note clients who want a time that is not free, let them join from your booking page, offer them a slot by hand or automatically when a visit is cancelled, and know when they leave the list.

Guide

Save an audience to reuse in campaigns and broadcasts

Describe a group of clients once, such as “not seen for 90 days” or “birthday this week”, and pick it whenever you send a campaign or a text broadcast.

Guide

Issue and redeem gift cards

Create a gift card with a code and a balance, sell cards on your booking page, take payment with them at the till or by hand, and follow the balance down to zero.

Guide

Offer group classes, packages and services that need more

Set up a group class with seats, a package of several services, a service that needs two people, a room or a waiting stage, and a service that must follow another.

Guide

Cut no-shows with deposits and cards on file

Ask for a deposit on new bookings, ask clients who book online for a card on file, charge a fee when someone does not come, and know when a deposit is kept or refunded.

Features for Events & leisure

Move your bookings off paper, WhatsApp and three spreadsheets.

Bring your clients, services and past visits in from a spreadsheet or your old system’s export, with a preview before anything is written — and help in chat, in six languages, whenever you want it. Most studios are live the same day.
