Pay by card in euros or dollars, and pay a failed charge
A licence in euros or dollars is paid by card through Paddle, our reseller: add the card, replace it when it expires, and settle a payment that did not go through. A licence in hryvnia has no card.
Hryvnia is paid by transfer
A licence in hryvnia is not paid by card: every term, renewal and extra is an invoice paid by bank transfer, with a QR code for your bank’s app. A card saved for a hryvnia licence before is no longer charged — the next renewal is an invoice, and its email says how to pay it.
Add a card
For a licence in euros or dollars, open Plan & billing and press “Add card” under “Card on file”. You enter the card on the page of Paddle, our reseller, which adds VAT where due, and are brought back; Setvos never sees the card number. Only an owner or admin can add or replace the card; everyone else sees the card with a line saying so.
Replace it
Press “Replace card”: it opens Paddle’s page, and a renewal that is overdue is paid there as soon as you enter the card.
When a payment fails
A renewal that does not go through is retried by Paddle on its own schedule. Each time, the owners and admins get an email and a notice in the app and on their phones with the amount and the day the workspace would become read-only, and a line at the top of every screen tells them the same, with “Replace card” and “Pay now”; the rest of the team sees nothing meanwhile. Nothing is lost, and the workspace works as usual. If it is still unpaid 14 days after it was due, the workspace becomes read-only: the line says “Read-only since …”, and “Pay now” or a new card opens it again — with the licence alone: the extras you had bought do not come back, and you can buy any of them again once it is paid. 90 days after it becomes read-only, the workspace is erased; until then the owner can still export it from Settings › Data.
Pay now
Press “Pay now” in the line at the top of the screen, in the banner on Plan & billing, or beside the failed licence or renewal line in “Invoice history”. It appears only to owners and admins. On a licence in euros or dollars it opens Paddle’s page to pay the overdue renewal — once the workspace is read-only, the licence alone. On a licence in hryvnia it charges nothing: it shows the invoice, with its QR code, and the workspace opens again the day the money arrives.
Common questions
- Can I pay for a hryvnia licence by card?
No. Hryvnia is paid by bank transfer: scan the invoice’s QR code in your bank’s app, or copy its details into a transfer.
- A pack or a larger plan was declined. How do I pay for it?
Nothing was added, so nothing is owed: buy it again once the card works. “Pay now” is only for a licence charge that is overdue.
