Import, export and data: bring it in, take it out

Everything about moving data in and out of Setvos: importing files from another system, exporting one kind of record or everything, and deleting.

  1. 01

    One screen for files

Settings › Data lists each kind of record you can import or export: contacts, companies, deals, products, services and past appointments. Owners and admins open this screen; what each of them may import or export still follows their role, and a kind they can only export says “Read only”.

  2. 02

Nothing is written until you have seen it

An import shows a preview first: how many rows would be new, updated or skipped, and why a row has a problem. Only “Import these rows” saves anything.

  3. 03

An import can be undone until you use it

An import of clients, services or past visits can be taken back from “Import history”. What you have used since stays: a visit on a sale, a service on a visit, a client with a visit or an invoice. Imports of other kinds of record cannot be undone, so read the preview before you import them.

  4. 04

    Your data is yours

“Everything, in one file” prepares a ZIP with every record, your activity history and the files you have uploaded — yours to keep. It can be prepared in a read-only workspace too: a lapsed trial or licence never locks your data in.

  5. 05

    Deleting

The owner can delete the whole workspace from the bottom of this screen. It cannot be undone, so export first.
