Send reminders through @Setvos_bot
Let clients get your confirmations, reminders and cancellations on Telegram through @Setvos_bot while you have no bot of your own.
Find the switch
Open Messaging (SMS), choose “Automations” and find the card “Reminders through the Setvos bot”.
Keep it on, or switch it off
“Use the Setvos bot” is on unless you switch it off. While it is on, clients who link @Setvos_bot get your confirmations, reminders and cancellations there, headed with your business name. A client links it from the Telegram link in their booking confirmation email. Telegram messages cost you nothing and do not use your SMS allowance. Changing the switch needs a role that can change messaging settings. The switch also covers booking you through @Setvos_bot and appearing in its directory: switched off, clients can no longer book you there and your places leave its directory.
Clients answer with a button
A reminder on Telegram carries “I’ll be there”, “Reschedule” and “Cancel”; a booking confirmation carries “Reschedule” and “Cancel”. “I’ll be there” marks the visit as confirmed by the client in your diary. The other two open the booking’s own page, where your cancellation and deposit rules apply. Your own bot sends the same buttons; an SMS or WhatsApp message has none. A number a client shares with @Setvos_bot is kept on the person, not on one business: it recognises them at every business they book through the bot, and a business's own bot keeps a number shared with it to itself. These buttons open inside Telegram, with no browser. A cancellation carries “Book again”, which opens your booking page there, or the place a closing one points to. A client who linked you on @Setvos_bot has a menu button in that chat that opens your booking page.
Know what never goes through it
Campaigns and automatic messages never go through @Setvos_bot. They reach Telegram only through your own bot.
Connect your own bot when you want one
Connect your own Telegram bot on Integrations › Messaging. It then takes over for the clients who linked it.
If you switch it off
Clients who linked @Setvos_bot then get their reminders by the next channel instead: WhatsApp or Viber if you connected them, otherwise SMS.
Common questions
- Where is the Setvos bot switch on the phone?
Under Automations: “Use the Setvos bot”. With it on, clients get confirmations and reminders from @Setvos_bot, and listed places can be booked in its directory. Campaigns and automations never go through it.
- What does the client app say about Telegram?
Me → Telegram tells clients that through @Setvos_bot salons send confirmations, reminders and cancellations only, that a salon’s own bot may also send its news and offers, and that /stop turns either off. Each salon shows which bot reaches the client, with Connect.
