Schedule a campaign for later

Pick the date and time a draft goes out, and take it back to a draft if you need to change it.

  1. 01

    Open a saved draft

Open the campaign from Campaigns. Only a draft can be scheduled, so save your changes first with “Save draft”.

  2. 02

    Pick the time

Press “Schedule”, choose the date and time under “Send at”, and press “Schedule”. The time is read on your own device’s clock. A time that has already passed is refused, so a typing mistake never sends anything at once.

  3. 03

    Check it is booked

The campaign page shows “Scheduled for” and the time, and the campaign can no longer be edited. On Campaigns it has the status “Scheduled”, its “Sent” column shows “—”, and the “Scheduled” status filter lists every campaign waiting to go. It goes out at that time whether or not anybody is signed in.

  4. 04

    Change it before it goes

To change the text, the audience or the time, or to send it now, press “Unschedule”. The campaign returns to a draft; edit it, press “Save draft” and schedule it again, or send it.

  5. 05

    If it could not go

If a scheduled campaign cannot be sent at its time, for example because the allowance ran out, it is left as a draft so you can see it did not go and send it yourself.

Common questions

Do quiet hours apply to a campaign?

Yes, on every channel, whether the campaign was scheduled or sent at once: messages due inside your quiet hours, emails and Telegram messages included, wait until the window ends, and the campaign shows “Sending…” until then. Set the window on the “Automations” tab of Messaging (SMS).

Can I schedule a campaign on the phone?

Yes: Schedule takes a date and time on the workspace’s clock. The server sends it even if nobody is signed in. A scheduled campaign cannot be changed; Unschedule it to edit it or to send it now. “Send now” asks first and sends the last saved draft.
