Put a retainer client on a monthly invoice

A client on a monthly contract needs three things: a company card, an invoice drafted every month, and a place to ask you things. Set all three up once.

  1. 01

    Add the company

In Contacts › Companies, press “New company”, fill in “Company name” and, if it has one, its “Email domain”, so its people are filed under it.

  2. 02

Put the fee on a schedule

In Invoicing, press “Recurring invoices”, then “New recurring invoice”. Pick the client, choose “Every” 1 month, add the fee as a line and press “Save”.

  3. 03

    Send what it drafts

Each month the schedule makes a draft invoice in Invoicing. Open it, check it and press “Send”.

  4. 04

Point the client to their account

With Support switched on, a client on your list who signs in on setvos.com sees a “Requests” tab to write to you, and their invoices beside it.
