Set up roles before you invite your team
An invitation carries a role, and the role decides what the person sees from their first sign-in. Check the roles first, and nobody sees more than they should.
Check the roles
Open Settings › Roles & permissions and read what each role can do. The Member role, for example, sees its own and its team’s records, with no payroll and no exports. A system role is fixed; duplicate it to make your own version.
Invite with the right role
Then invite people from Settings › Members and choose the role for each. Invitees get an email link, and the role applies once they accept.

Set up roles and permissions
Use the four ready-made roles or build your own: choose what each role may do in every module and whose records it sees.
Invite people to your workspace
Send email invitations, choose each newcomer’s role and teams before they join, and see or revoke the invitations still waiting.
