Recruitment · How-to
Open a job role
Describe a role with its title, department, location, type and salary range, and publish it so you can add candidates to it.
Start a new opening
On Recruitment, press “New job opening”. The button is there only for a Setvos role that can create in Recruitment.
Describe the role
Fill in the “Title”, the only field you must fill, then the “Department”, “Location”, “Type” (full-time, part-time or contract) and a “Description”. Add the salary minimum and maximum if you want the range on record. The departments are the ones set up in People.
Flag it and name the hiring manager
Switch on “Urgent” to count the role as urgent in the tiles. “I'm the hiring manager” starts switched on and records you as the role's hiring manager; switch it off to leave the role without one.
Publish it
Press “Publish role”. You are back on the Recruitment screen with the new role selected, ready for candidates. “Save draft” keeps it as a draft instead, listed under “Draft” in the filter until you publish it.
Change it later
With the role selected, use “Edit role” (under ⋯ on a phone) to change its details, its “Status” or the “Urgent” flag, and “Vacancy details” to read what it was published with, including its hiring manager. Editing needs a Setvos role that can edit Recruitment.
Publish, close and reopen it
With a draft selected, “Publish role” in the header (under ⋯ on a phone) opens it. Once the role is filled, “Close role” closes it: it is then listed under “Closed” in the filter, and “Reopen role” opens it again if you need to hire for it once more.
Common questions
- What does “Save draft” do?
It saves the role without opening it, so it does not count among your open roles. Choose “Draft” in the filter on Recruitment to find it, select it and press “Publish role” when you are ready to hire.
- Is the role posted on a website?
No. Roles and candidates live inside Setvos; nothing is posted to a job site or a public page.
- Can I manage job openings on the phone?
Yes: Job openings creates and edits an opening — title, description, salary range, urgent and hiring manager — then Publish, Save draft, Close role or Reopen. The switcher at the top of Recruitment picks the opening you are looking at.
