Move deals across the board
Drag deals from stage to stage, read what each stage is worth, switch between pipelines, and say why a deal was lost as you drop it.
Open the board
Deals opens on “Board”, which shows one pipeline. Each column is a stage. Its header shows how many deals it holds and their total value, counted over all of them, not only the cards on screen.
Drag a card
Drag a deal to another column, or up and down within one to change its place. The move is saved at once, and a move to another stage is written on the deal’s timeline. Only roles that may edit deals can drag cards; for everyone else the cards stay put, and clicking one still opens the deal.
Say why a deal was lost
Drop a deal from another stage onto a stage that means lost and, once the move is saved, Setvos asks “Why was it lost?”. Type a line, such as price or timing, and press “Save reason”, or press “Not now” to skip. The reason shows on the deal’s page. Changing a deal’s place within the lost column does not ask again.
Page through a long column
A column shows a page of deals at a time; use the arrows at its foot to see the next page. Each column pages on its own.
Switch to another pipeline
With more than one pipeline, pick one in the menu beside “Board” and “List”, and the board shows its stages. The choice is part of the page’s address, so a refresh or a link sent to a colleague opens the same board.
On a phone
Swipe sideways from column to column. To move a deal, open it and pick the new stage in the menu at the top of its page.
Common questions
- Why does a column’s total not match the cards I can see?
The total counts every deal in that stage that your role lets you see, across all its pages.
- Which pipeline does the board open on?
The default one, marked “Default” in Settings › Pipelines, unless you picked another in the pipeline menu. An owner or admin changes the default there with “Make default”.
- Why does a column show more than one total?
Deals in different currencies are never added together. A column holding deals in hryvnias and in euros shows a total for each currency.
- How does the deal board work on the phone?
The Deals tab shows Board or List, and a pipeline switcher when you have more than one. Each column shows its count and totals for each currency and loads more deals as you scroll it. A close date turns red once it has passed on an open deal. Touch and hold a card to lift it, then drop it in another column; the board scrolls when you reach its edge. With VoiceOver, use “Move to…” instead. Dropping an open deal into a lost stage asks why it was lost. Offline, deals cannot be moved. On an iPad the columns are wider, 292 points, and a deal opens over the board.
