Bookings: common questions
Quick answers about free times, time zones, places, chairs, prices and the cost of messages to clients.
Common questions
- Why can clients not see any free times?
Most often the week is not published: only published shifts can be booked. Also check that the service has online booking on, that someone who performs it works that day, and that the place is not closing or at its daily online limit.
- Why is a booking refused with a message about the shift?
The visit falls outside the person's published shift, or the week is still a draft. Fix the rota on Bookings › Schedule and publish it.
- What is a visit code, and what is APT-0042?
A visit code, like LIRA-9A4B, is what the client reads and gives you: it is in their confirmation email, on their booking and on the receipt, and in texts in English, Spanish, German and French. Ukrainian and Russian texts leave it out to stay one SMS. The APT- number is the reference for filing, in exports and the activity log; a client booked before visit codes may still give you one, and the search finds both.
- Which clock are appointment times on?
Your workspace's time zone, set on Bookings › Settings. Every screen shows times on that clock, wherever the person looking is.
- How many places can I have?
Your plan includes a set number of places, shown on Plan & billing, where you can also add an extra place or move to a larger plan.
- Can two visits share a chair or a room?
No. A chair picked under “Room / chair” and any room or machine a service needs are checked, and a clash is refused.
- Which price does a client pay when prices differ?
The price for the person and place they book, at the desk, online and in a standing appointment alike. A person's own price wins over the place's, and the place's over the catalogue's. An off-peak discount then comes off it.
- Do messages to clients cost anything?
Telegram messages are free. SMS come from your plan's allowance, or from your own SMS gateway if you connected one. WhatsApp messages are charged to you by Meta, and Viber messages go on the account of the Viber sender you connected, so you pay for those too.
- Do my staff need an app?
No. Staff use Setvos in a browser, on a phone too. The phone apps are coming to the App Store and Google Play.
