Phone apps: common questions
Short answers about the phone apps that are coming, and about using Setvos from a phone until they arrive.
Common questions
- When will the apps be in the App Store and Google Play?
There is no date yet. Until then, the web app and your booking page do the same jobs in a phone’s browser.
- Do my staff or I need to install anything today?
No. Sign in to Setvos in the phone’s browser. Putting it on the home screen is optional.
- Can I get Setvos notices on my phone?
Yes, through Telegram: link it at Account settings › Telegram and switch on “Also send to Telegram” in Account settings › Notifications. The notices whose “Phone” switch is on arrive in your chat with @Setvos_bot.
- Do my clients need an app to book?
No. They book on your booking page in any phone browser, as a guest with a name and a phone number.
- Will the apps use the same data?
Yes. They work with the same workspace and the same accounts, so there is nothing to move.
- Why does the app say my plan is managed on the web?
The staff app shows where your licence stands — a trial’s days left, a failed payment or a workspace that is read-only — in a line above the tabs, but it does not sell or change a licence: that is done on Plan & billing in the web app. A change you try in a read-only workspace says why, in the same words.
- Can the apps be dark?
Yes. Both apps have an Appearance setting with Light, Dark and System, which follows your phone. In Setvos Business it is under Settings, and in Setvos in the profile. The choice is kept on that phone.
- How do I see everything I can do with a row?
Touch and hold the row: a sheet lists its actions, the same ones a swipe shows. Screen readers offer them as actions on the row too.
- Do the apps work on an iPad or an Android tablet?
Yes. On a wide screen a list and the record you chose sit side by side, forms open as a centred card, and the staff app's sections move into a sidebar. Turning the tablet or resizing the window keeps what you had chosen.
- What works without a connection?
What the phone already loaded still opens, under a dark line saying you are offline; a client's record, pay and signed consent forms are not kept on the phone, so they open only online. Nothing is saved or sent while offline: the buttons that change something are greyed out and say why, and nothing is sent later on its own.
- Which language do the apps use?
The language you chose in the app; at first, your phone's language, or Ukrainian on a phone set to Ukraine. Change it in Settings (Setvos Business) or the profile (Setvos). Prices, dates and times follow that language.
- What is on the staff app's tab bar?
Today, then up to three of Diary, Clients and Inbox — or, where your role does not use those, Calendar or Deals, Orders or Stock, and Tasks — and More. The workspace's name, Search and the bell sit in the header above every tab. On an iPad and on a wide Android tablet the tabs become a sidebar.
- What does Today show?
The day on your salon's clock: your next visit or the one in your chair, with Check in, your clock and what is due today. Owners, admins and people who see all or a branch of the bookings, clients or deals also see the day's figures against a week ago, what needs attention, and the tiles of their home screen, in the order they chose on the web. Edit Today changes that order on the phone, and the web shows the change too.
- How do I search on the phone?
Tap the magnifier in the header. Before you type it shows the records you opened last and quick actions such as New client; as you type it finds clients, deals, invoices and more that your role may see. A result the phone has no screen for says “On the web”.
- Where did the notifications go?
To the bell in the header, with the unread count. Tapping a notice marks it read and opens its screen; a notice about something the phone does not show opens in full with “This is on the web”. Notices you cannot switch off stay pinned at the top, marked Important, until you read them.
- How do I check a client in with their code?
In Setvos Business, the QR button at the top of the diary opens “Scan check-in”. Point the camera at the client’s QR, or type the visit code they say, such as LIRA-9A4B; capitals, spaces and the hyphen do not matter, and an APT- reference works too. The booking goes straight to In chair. Only today’s visits check in this way: a code from another day is refused, with its date. In a class each seat has its own code and QR, so a scan checks in that client’s seat, not the whole class, and the card shows how many of the class are here. Offline, a check-in you typed waits for the connection. The torch button lights a dark desk.
- Can I show my payment code at the desk?
Yes. In Setvos Business, More → Payment details shows the code and the details of each account you added on the web, with copy buttons. Share the details as text, the code as an image or the A6 table card; with an account on your public page, copy its link too. Accounts are added and changed on the web.
