Build an onboarding template

List the tasks a new hire's checklist starts with and when each is due, counted from their start date.

  1. 01

    Open the automations

On Onboarding, press “Automations”. The dialog lists your “Templates”. The button is there only for a role that can change Onboarding settings.

  2. 02

    Start a template

Press “New template” and give it a “Name”, such as New hire checklist.

  3. 03

    Add the tasks

For each task, type what needs doing, and in the small box beside it the day it is due, counted from the start date: 0 is the first day and a negative number is before it, so -2 sets up the till login two days early. A task can be due up to 30 days before or 90 days after. Press “Add task” for another row, or the cross to remove one.

  4. 04

    Save it

Press “Create template”. A template needs a name no other template has, and at least one task.

  5. 05

    Change it later

Press the edit button beside a template, change it and press “Save”. Checklists already started keep their own copy of the tasks. Creating and changing templates is recorded on Settings › Audit log.
