A ПРРО for a salon: what you need, and what you do not
There is a lot of fear around fiscal receipts in Ukraine and little that is concrete. This is the concrete part, from the side of the booking system.

First, the caveat that matters: we make software, not tax advice. Whether your business must issue receipts, and for which payments, is your accountant’s answer — the rules change, and they depend on your tax group and what you sell.
When the question comes up
In Ukraine a receipt question arises when money arrives as cash, as a card payment through a terminal, or as an online payment through a payment service — which is how most salons are paid. Some businesses have exemptions and others do not, and the fines for a sale without a receipt are significant. That is not a reason to panic; it is a reason to ask your accountant early and connect a register before it becomes urgent.
What a ПРРО is
A ПРРО is a software cash register: not a device, but a service with a cashier’s electronic key, set up for your business. Checkbox is the most common. You set the register up there, and your booking system sends it each payment; the register issues the receipt, under your business’s details. The receipt is the register’s, not ours.
What Setvos does
- You connect your own Checkbox account — a licence key and a cashier PIN. We do not resell registers and we do not set them up for you.
- Every payment goes to your register. Cash or card at the till after a visit, a payment by link, an invoice payment you recorded by hand — each is sent for a receipt. A refund is sent as a return receipt.
- A receipt that could not be issued is retried. The register is not answering, the shift is closed, the connection dropped — the money is still taken, and the receipt waits and is sent again. We never invent a fiscal number: with no register there is no receipt, and the screen says so.
- The shift, the receipts and the day’s close are on one screen: open the shift, take an X-report at noon, close with a Z-report, and count the drawer against what the day expected.
With no register connected there is no receipt, and the screen says so. A made-up fiscal number is the one thing we will never produce.
What you do not need
No separate register device at the desk, and no typing the amount twice. No remembering that the client paid part of it as a deposit: the deposit goes to the register when it is paid, and the rest at the till. Each receipt in the list carries the link the register returned, so it can be checked.
One honest “no”
We do not run a register for you. With no ПРРО connected, Setvos takes the money and keeps the books, but there are no receipts — and it says so on screen rather than pretending otherwise. Checkbox is one of the services on the Integrations page, under Fiscalization; the guide “Receipts through the ПРРО you connect” walks through the setup.
