Undo an import

Take back the clients, services or past visits an import created, if the result is not what you expected.

  1. 01

    Open the import history

On Settings › Data, “Import history” lists every import, newest first, with the file, the kind of record, and how many rows were new, updated or skipped.

  2. 02

    Undo it

Press “Undo” on the import. It is there for an import of clients, services or past visits that created something; imports of deals, companies and products cannot be undone. There is no second question: what it created is removed at once, and a message says how many went — and how many stayed.

  3. 03

    Know what stays

What the import updated stays as it is: the values it replaced were not kept. What it created and you have used since stays too: a visit put on a sale, paid a deposit on, reviewed or edited; a service on a visit, in a package or priced for a branch or a person; a client with a visit, an invoice or an order. The import stays in the history, marked “Undone”. Undo in the reverse order of the move — visits first, then services, then clients — so a client is not kept only because their visits are still there.

Common questions

Can I undo an import on the phone?

Yes. After an import, “Undo this import” asks first and says what stays. The records it created are deleted; rows it updated keep the file’s values, and records used since — a sale, a deposit, a review, an edit or a visit — stay.

Can I undo an import from Import history?

Yes: Import history lists each import with Undo, which says what is kept because it is in use and never reverses an update.
