What to take with you when you leave a booking platform

Export while the account is still active. That is the whole advice, and it is the step people leave until after they have cancelled.

Rows of open cardboard boxes ready to be packed

Most platforms will let you export your data. Most of them will also stop letting you the moment the subscription lapses, and support queues are slower for accounts that are no longer paying. Do it first, verify it, then cancel.

The six exports

  • Clients — name, phone, email, and the marketing consent state. Without the consent state you cannot legally message the list you just exported.
  • Services — names, durations and prices. A photo of the price list works if the export does not.
  • Staff — who performed what, so the history maps onto real people rather than a blank column.
  • Appointment history — the one that makes a new system useful on day one instead of month three.
  • Invoices and payments — for your accountant, and for any dispute that surfaces later.
  • Photos and notes attached to client records. This is the one nobody remembers, and it is usually the hardest to get out.
Verify the export opens and has rows in it before you cancel anything. An empty CSV looks exactly like a full one in a download folder.

Move your bookings off paper, WhatsApp and three spreadsheets.

Bring your clients, services and past visits in from a spreadsheet or your old system’s export, with a preview before anything is written — and help in chat, in six languages, whenever you want it. Most studios are live the same day.
